Richard Bendit

Richard Bendit joined Tactix in May 2006 with nearly twenty years of legal and commercial banking experience. Prior to joining Tactix, Richard was a Partner in the Finance and Real Estate Group of Dechert LLP, one of the country’s premier law firms. Richard brings to Tactix a diverse background in complex commercial real estate, including leasing, investment, structured finance, securitization and other capital markets transactions.

Richard has managed transactions involving various property types located in the United States, Europe and Japan, with deal sizes ranging up to $2 billion. Richard routinely worked on transactions that included large commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans, as well as notes, participation interests, and securities representing senior and subordinate interests in such loans. Richard also worked on other structured loan funding transactions ranging from revolving credit facilities to repurchase and swap transactions.

Richard graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in economics in 1985 and from Temple University School of Law with a J.D. (cum laude) in 1994.

Richard has been a frequent lecturer for various commercial real estate organizations, such as the Mortgage Bankers’ Association and the Commercial Mortgage Securitization Association. Richard has also published articles on bankruptcy issues impacting commercial real estate lending.
