R. Bradford Mills

Brad Mills joined Tactix in March of 2010 with over 20 years of experience in development, redevelopment, consulting, and brokerage throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Brad has completed 8 million square feet of assignments valued at $1 billion for corporate users and institutional owners of office, industrial, and retail space.

Prior to joining Tactix, Brad represented corporate users for over a decade at Fourragere Property Services (which he founded), Studley, and The Staubach Company. During the initial seven years of his career he served as director of leasing for the Philadelphia-area portfolio of Emmes Realty Services and leased projects in New Jersey and Virginia for Trammell Crow Company. In a departure from the usual career progression, Brad served as CEO of a for-profit, low-income housing company in Philadelphia from 2007 to 2008, where he made many operational improvements.

Brad’s expertise includes build to suit, redevelopment, sale-leaseback, disposition of challenging properties, lease renegotiation, and strategic planning. He has represented a wide variety of organizations, including Baxter, Beneficial Bank, Cardiokine, Drugstore.com, Exxon, Mobil, NFL Films, Norfolk Southern, the School District of Philadelphia, and Thomas Jefferson University.

Before beginning his business career, Brad served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He voluntarily returned to active duty and deployed to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm.

Brad serves on the board of directors of People for People, Inc., a non-profit that conducts educational programs in Philadelphia, and recently completed 6 years of service on the board of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He serves on the regional committee of the University of Virginia’s Jefferson Scholar program, as vice chair of the Business Network of the Union League of Philadelphia, and is active in other civic, professional, and social organizations. He has lectured on real estate at the University of Pennsylvania, industry panels, and various civic organizations. Brad plays rugby for Philadelphia Whitemarsh and the Virginia Cardinals and finished the Philadelphia Marathon twice.

Brad received a BA from the University of Virginia in 1983 and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School in 1989.
